2011 STANLY RANCH PINOT NOIR
WINEMAKER NOTES: The 2011 Heritance Pinot Noir is brilliant deep ruby in color. Intense fruity aromas of red fruit and cherry with a hint of spices and good underlying wood tannins. Powerful in the mouth, it is rich and generous, smooth with a good underlying structure, some white spices, a hint of mint/laurel and undergrowth and a good long finish. Typical of the cool climate in the Carneros region. Good to enjoy now but will benefit from further bottle aging for 2-3 years APPELLATION: Carneros,Napa Valley COMPOSITION: 100% Pinot Noir ALCOHOL: 14.1% AGING: Cold soaked for several days at about 50°F. Fermented in open top stainless steel tanks up to 86°F. Punched down twice a day for optimal extraction of color, tannins and varietal character. Pressed after a short maceration. Aged in used French oak barrels for gentle extraction of oak tannins Download Tech Sheet |
